What I Saw - Sunday, September 11, 2011

Things were beginning to return to normal . . .

 Well . . . sort of.

Sitting under a tree, possibly writing a flood report.

 Lotsa looking at the river

This spider somehow stayed above it all.

 A . . . . . !!!

 Displaced

The grass has been well watered.

Once around the park

What Else I Saw - Saturday, September 10, 2011

There was unknown trouble on 441,
in Washington Borough.
This shot was taken near Plane Street.

Although the barricades were still up
Saturday afternoon, people started wandering
into the park.

The water had receded, but was still above normal.

The lower part of the park was still taped off.

The water had fallen to four feet below Agnes.

The flood had left behind some interesting abstracts.

 The water ebbed slowly.

Cross

There was no water outside the water company gate,
only inside.  Go figure.  Maybe the gate kept
the water in.

Still lots of water here, though.

Stuff that reached the higher ground

 More tape

 Barricades

 Sign

A few boats ended up here, in the parking lot
near the bottom of Locust Street.  The canoe guy
moved his boats to the former Pizza Hut
parking lot along 462.

River Park Now Open

The barricades finally came down.
Despite the rain (again!), many made the
pilgrimage on Sunday Afternoon.
