don't you think all the powers that be would be eager to have the new wastewater treatment plant built a LOT higher and with a lot more protection from these floods! i certainly hope so. the climate is changing, we are seeing more and more devestation from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes than ever before.it's a shame that the water co is building a new plant IN THE SAME PLACE....it floods all the time, this is at least the 3rd time this year, this time with boil water advisory!unless of course, they'll building it 2 stories OFF THE GROUND !!!!!! if they are not - it's just PLAIN STUPID
You make some good points about these places getting flooded out a lot. Building close to the river definitely has its drawbacks.
do you know any of these answers ? is the water co building their new building 2 stories off the ground ? if they are not, they should go back to the drawing board. pronto
At this point, I don't know what the plans are. I certainly hope they pay attention to the problems this situation caused. What I'd like to know is why Hempfield and other local school districts that were under the advisory still had school on Friday. I'd also like to know what pathogens were detected and which ones were tested for. I'm guessing coliform bacteria (from feces, etc.) were present, but what about HIV?
