What I Saw Today (July 3, 2010)

Balancing act

The quarry across the river gets bigger and uglier by the day.  It's a scar on the landscape.

These items were placed at the rear of the Mighty Dog Family Fun Center at 29 North Fourth Street (formerly Keystone Fire Company) as a memorial to Cornell Anton Stewart, who was fatally shot there earlier this year.

Take the money and run.

This window was broken out several months ago and still has not been replaced.  At the time, there were glass shards all over the sidewalk below, which were swept up by a Columbia Borough police officer.

Four out-of-state vehicles were parked right in a row next to the park on the 500 block of Locust Street.  There was a pickup truck from Tennessee on the next block down.  Columbia must be so popular that they're coming from miles around just to see it.
